Izak Blom has extensive work experience as a Software Engineer. Izak started their career at Veriline in 2016, where they worked as a Software Engineer for a year and a half. In 2018, they joined Platoon Technologies as a Software Engineer for a few months before moving on to Havana International, where they worked as a Software Engineer for almost three years. At Havana International, they were responsible for the entire design, development, and project management of the solution. In 2021, they briefly worked at Agile Bridge as a Software Engineer before joining Rest Less UK as a Software Engineer. At Rest Less UK, they worked as part of the pensions team, building a pensions platform and frontend web app from scratch. Izak worked there for about a year before joining IOX Fleet Services as a Software Engineer. At IOX Fleet Services, they were involved in team-based full-stack software development for a start-up providing digital vehicle fleet solutions. Izak worked at IOX Fleet Services for two and a half years before joining Super Payments in 2022 as a Software Engineer.

Izak Blom completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Knowledge Systems at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. Izak attended the university from 2013 to 2015. In 2016, Izak pursued further education in plant sciences and earned a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Plant Sciences, with a focus on plant ecology, from the same institution.
