Joel Carr has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Joel most recently worked as the Vice President - Solar Relationship Manager at Sunwest Bank starting in August 2022. Before that, they served as the Vice President of Business Development at K12 Energy from May 2019 to August 2022. Joel has a strong background in renewable energy, as demonstrated by their role as the VP of Business Development at Alpha Energy Management, Inc. from April 2015 to May 2019, where they focused on project origination for solar PV and water/infrastructure projects. Prior to that, they worked as an Energy Advisor at Collins Electric from June 2011 to April 2015, where they specialized in the origination and finance of commercial and small utility-scale solar projects. Joel also has experience in capital formation and real estate, having served as the President/Principal at Real Equity Capital from February 2007 to February 2012, and as the Director of Broker/Dealer Relations at Southfork Development Group from January 2005 to February 2007. Joel began their career as a Senior Financial Services Associate at E*TRADE Financial from September 2003 to April 2005 and as a Sales Executive at Apex EDI from February 2001 to October 2002. Through their various roles, Joel has demonstrated strong leadership skills, the ability to build strategic relationships, and a track record of raising capital and increasing sales.

Joel Carr earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University between 1995 and 1998. Joel then pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance, General, from California State University-Sacramento from 2010 to 2011.
