Sophonna Sheppard is an accomplished professional in the field of social services, currently serving as the Director of Caregiver Services at Sunnyside Community Services since September 2023, focusing on support for caregivers of elderly individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Previously, Sophonna held the position of Vice President of Shelters and Transitional Services and Program Director at ICL from July 2011 to September 2023, where responsibilities included managing transitional housing for veterans and enhancing service delivery. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Director of the Veterans Program and Director of the Criminal Justice Program at The Doe Fund, Inc. from October 2008 to June 2011, overseeing transitional housing initiatives and supporting job training for clients.
