William Li has a work experience that spans over several years, starting in 2012. William began their career at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a PEY Co-op Student from April 2012 to August 2013. In 2014, they joined Sunnybrook as a Research Engineer/Physicist and worked in that role until December 2021. In January 2022, they were promoted to the position of Research Biomedical Electronics Engineer Team Lead at Sunnybrook.

From 2009 to 2014, William Li attended the University of Toronto, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Electrical Engineering.
