Haris Rashid has worked in various roles at different companies. Haris started their career in 2013 as an Intern at Pakistan Ordnance Factories, where they rotated through different departments and suggested ways to improve working principles. From 2015 to 2017, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, where they assisted in teaching and published research on characterization of residual stresses and mechanical properties of aluminum sheets processed through incremental forming.

In 2017, they began their career at Shell as an Operations Engineer, responsible for managing into-plane and fixed facilities staff, resources, and procedures to ensure safe and efficient product receipt, storage, handling, and into-plane delivery of Jet fuel at Islamabad airports. Later, they worked there as a Projects and Maintenance Lead for four years, where they coordinated and monitored the Engineering team to ensure personnel, process, and equipment safety.

Haris Rashid also worked as a Joint Venture Manager, where their role included managing joint venture fuel farm operations, performing all aspects of human resources, project management, stakeholder management, contractor negotiation, and maintenance management for fixed fueling facilities and equipment.

Currently, they are working for SunGrid as a Project Manager, which they started in June 2023.

Haris Rashid completed their pre-engineering studies at the University of Cambridge from 2006 to 2010. Haris then obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Air University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Haris also earned a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, where they studied from 2015 to 2017. Haris also obtained several additional certifications, including the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) from AEO Pakistan, Registered Engineer certification from Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Verified International Academic Qualifications - Master's Degree from World Education Services, and Project Management Professional (PMP)® from Project Management Institute.
