Josh Halpern-Givens has a history of work experience beginning in 2004. From 2004 to 2006, they worked at Borders Books as a Bookseller, where they were responsible for organizing and maintaining stock throughout the store, creating special thematic displays, and providing customer service. At the same time, they also worked at Northeastern Illinois University as a Forums Moderation and Promotion, where they created and distributed marketing materials, aided software implementation and maintenance, and developed new content for the forums. In 2006, they began working at SundogIT, Inc. as the NOC Chief, where they were the team lead for first response IT support to small and medium-sized organizations, and was responsible for managing, supporting, and leading first response technical support on a wide range of issues and skill levels.
Josh Halpern-Givens has a diverse educational background. Josh obtained a B.A. in English and Anthropology from Northeastern Illinois University between 2003 and 2006. Prior to that, they attended Columbia College Chicago from 2002 to 2003. Josh also attended McHenry County College from 1999 to 2003, where they studied General Studies. In addition to their formal education, Josh has obtained several certifications, including IT Glue Certified Professional: Administrator Level 2 from IT Glue in May 2021, IT Glue Certified Professional: User Level 1 from IT Glue in November 2018, a Certificate of HIPAA Workforce Proficiency (CHWP) from 4Medapproved in May 2018, and an A+ Certification from CompTIA.
