Steve Lawson has extensive experience in medical practice, currently serving as a Senior GP at the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health since May 2023 and as a Skin Cancer Practitioner at SunDoctors Skin Cancer Clinics since October 2020. Lawson has also been a Navy Medical Officer with the Royal Australian Navy since August 1988. Previous roles include Family Physician at Milton Village Medical from January 2020 to May 2023, Skin Cancer GP at Brisbane Skin from February 2021 to January 2023, and Family Physician at several medical centers between 2009 and 2019. Educational qualifications include a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer from The University of Queensland, a Fellowship from the RACGP in Family Medicine, a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Queensland, and a Bachelor of Education from QUT. Additional training includes a Certificate of Primary Care Dermatology from the RACGP.
