Melissa Pera

Vice President of Sales at Sunday Afternoons

Melissa Pera has a wealth of experience in sales, account management, and apparel buying. Melissa began their career in 1990 as an Apparel Buyer for Macys, where they purchased men's collections for 52 stores with annual sales of $30m. In 1996, they moved to Target Corp - Mervyn's as an Apparel Buyer, where they purchased men's activewear, tee shirts, licensed merchandise, dress shirts and neckwear for 300 stores. In 1997, they joined Reebok as a National Accounts Manager, responsible for the account management of the apparel business at Mervyn's California and Macy's West with annual sales of $18m. In 2000, they joined Nike as a Category Sales Manager, NSW and Senior Account Executive and New Business Development, managing key accounts in the West and successfully negotiating new partnerships with key national and regional players with annual sales of over $35m. In 2012, they became the Director of Sales at B&N Industries. Since 2015, they have been working with Sunday Afternoons as the Vice President of Sales.

Melissa Pera attended UC Santa Barbara from 1986 to 1990 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communications.
