Nicté Barrera Hernández has over 13 years of work experience. Nicté began their career in 2006 as a Quality Specialist at Mondelēz International, where they were also a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Project Leader Integrator, SAP Implementation Leader, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Business Unit Manufacturing Manager. In 2015, they moved to PepsiCo as a Technical Support Leader - Quality Control, responsible for the development and management of the process and quality audits to the biscuits plants across the country. In 2017, they worked as a Student Research Assistant at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. In 2018, they became Quality Assurance Manager at PISSA CORP, where they were responsible for the Quality Assurance Team and ensuring compliance with factory and legal standards. Since 2019, they have been the Head of Quality Assurance & Engineering at Sunbloom Proteins GmbH.

Nicté Barrera Hernández began their educational journey in 2000, when they attended Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they earned a Food Industry Engineer degree in 2005. Nicté then attended both University of Kassel and Hochschule Fulda from 2015 to 2018, where they earned an International Food Business and Consumer Studies degree with a focus on Agricultural and Food Products Processing and Food Science, respectively.
