Karl Rimkus is an experienced professional in environmental compliance and education, currently serving as Special Projects Manager at Sun Metro since April 2022. With a strong background in geology, Karl has been an Adjunct Geology Instructor at El Paso Community College since 2001, specializing in Physical Geology, Historical Geology, and Earth Science courses. Previously, Karl held several positions at The City of El Paso Texas, including Operations Manager for the Environmental Compliance Division and roles in the Environmental Services Department, overseeing various code compliance and environmental programs. Karl also taught at Wayland Baptist University and worked as an Environmental Investigator for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Karl's educational background includes a Master of Public Administration in Homeland Security and a Master of Education in Curriculum Supervision from The University of Texas at El Paso, along with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. Additional experience includes service in the United States Army Reserve.
