James R. Slotnick currently serves as the Head of U.S. Government Relations at Sun Life, focusing on representing the company's interests in legislative and regulatory matters related to the Group Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, Voluntary, and Stop Loss industries. With a career spanning over two decades, James has held various leadership roles within Sun Life, including positions in Change Management and Broker Education, as well as in advanced planning at Prudential Financial. An accomplished speaker and educator, James has also been instrumental in creating educational resources for financial professionals. James holds a JD and an MBA from Suffolk University, and a BA in History from Saint Anselm College, along with additional certifications in public policy and executive management.
