John B. McLaren is a seasoned executive with a robust background in leadership roles within the real estate and community development sectors. Since June 2002, John has held various positions at Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors, culminating in the role of Strategic Advisor after serving as President & Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President of Home Sales, and Vice President of Home Leasing. John also has experience as a Non Executive Director at SCI Bidco Limited Group and Ingenia Communities Group, and as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Eastern Market Development Corporation. John earned an Executive Certificate in Behavioral Economics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2023, an MBA with Graduate Honors from Regis University, and a BA in Geology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
