Illia Diahovchenko currently serves as a Senior Power Systems Researcher at University College Dublin, focusing on the evolution of energy systems to increase renewable electricity by 2030 and achieve net zero carbon by 2050. Diahovchenko is also an Associate Professor and has held various academic positions at Sumy State University since September 2015. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher role at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, contributing to a project on the integration of dynamic models into the Continental Europe grid. Additional scholarly activities include visiting scholar positions at Technical University of Kosice and Riga Technical University, as well as research work at Washington State University under the Fulbright Program. Educational qualifications include a PhD from Sumy State University and a Specialist's Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the same institution.
