Alicia Omlid is a seasoned wildlife biologist with extensive experience in desert tortoise biology and environmental consulting. Since September 2014, Alicia has operated as an independent biologist, working on various pipeline repair and construction projects in the Mojave Desert for clients such as SoCalGas and Southern California Edison. Current roles include monitoring construction on solar facilities with SummitWest Environmental, Inc., and overseeing emergency environmental cleanouts for the City of San Diego with Balk Biological. Previous positions include conducting desert tortoise surveys and biological monitoring for projects at URS Corporation, and supporting ecological efforts at the University of Montana. Alicia Omlid holds a Master of Arts in Geography with a focus on Resource Management and Environmental Planning from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Oregon.
