Char McCurdy has over 30 years of experience in the property management industry. Char currently serves as the President of Summit Property Management since December 2020. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Operations at Summit Property Management from November 2018 to December 2020.
Before joining Summit Property Management, Char McCurdy held various leadership positions in different companies. Char was the Director of Property Management at Madera Residential from April 2014 to January 2019, also serving as the Vice President of Business Development in April 2014. At Sunchase American, they were responsible for general operations and procedures for the multifamily division and oversaw a portfolio of communities in Texas and Arkansas.
Earlier in their career, Char McCurdy worked as a Regional Vice President at Colonial Properties Trust from January 2005 to January 2007. Char also held regional management positions at AMLI Residential from January 2001 to January 2005 and Aimco from January 1997 to January 2000. Char began their career as an Area Manager at Mid American Apartments from January 1989 to January 1994.
Throughout their career, Char McCurdy has demonstrated expertise in property management operations, business development, operations/procedures, and portfolio oversight. Char has successfully implemented strategies to improve operational efficiencies, reduce expenses, increase occupancy, and foster growth for the companies they have worked with.
Char McCurdy attended Christian Brothers University from 1985 to 1986, where they studied Business Management. They also attended Christian Brothers College, although the specific dates are not provided. Char McCurdy obtained a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) Certification from the National Apartment Association. Additionally, they received an ARM Accredited Residential Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
