Dayton works with Summit’s portfolio companies and investment teams to identify and recruit high-impact senior executives and board members.

Prior to Summit, Dayton ran the CTPartners practice serving venture capital and growth equity clients and their portfolio companies across executive, board and partner/principal investor searches. Previously, he was a cofounder of full-service technology recruiting boutique Fortis Partners and a senior associate at Spencer Stuart. Before that, he was one of the first salespeople at SoBe, a start-up in the nutraceutical beverage category that was acquired by Pepsi.

Dayton holds a BA in American Studies, with highest distinction, from Wittenberg University.

Dayton is actively involved in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. He currently serves on the corporate development board of JDRF New England.
