Joanna M. has a strong background in Human Resources. Joanna began their career in 2014 as a Customer Service Representative at BMO Financial Group. In 2015, they joined the University of Calgary as an HR Advisor, where they provided comprehensive and proactive support to the campus community. Joanna also managed 100+ IT service tickets and performed data validation and audits. In addition, they served as Coordinator, Academic Contracts and Immigration Services, Graduate Program Officer, and Administrative Coordinator, Dean's Office. In 2022, they joined Summit Nanotech as a Human Resources Analyst.

Joanna M. has a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) from the University of Calgary, where they studied International Business with a Minor in Japanese. Joanna also completed a Certificate in Professional Management in Strategic Management from the University of Calgary in 2020, a Certificate in French Language and Culture, FSL Foundations in 2017, and two international study exchange semesters in 2013 at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) in International Business, Marketing, and Supply Chain, and in 2012 at Hokkaido University of Education in Japanese Language and Culture. Joanna is currently enrolled in a Certificate program in Human Resources Management at the University of Calgary, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
