Maritza CHARRIS is an experienced educator with a diverse background in language instruction. Currently serving as a Spanish Language Arts teacher at Summit Middle School and an English as a Second Language teacher at Colorado Mountain College, Maritza has also taught second grade Spanish at Summit School District. With extensive experience as a corrector of style and a writer of Spanish and literature textbooks, Maritza focuses on ensuring language clarity and proper syntax in student work. Additionally, Maritza has a history of tutoring children with learning difficulties, developing tailored support plans, and has held various teaching roles, including directing a school magazine for 16 years at Gimnasio Moderno. Maritza holds a degree in Spanish-English languages from Universidad Pedagógica Nacional.
