Karen Koch is an experienced professional in communication and environmental education with a background in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as an Interpretive Naturalist at Summit Metro Parks since July 2022, Karen engages park visitors through educational programs. Previous experience includes serving as an Americorps Member at Western Reserve Land Conservancy, where tasks encompassed writing, photography, and community initiatives. Roles in business development and marketing communications at AloNovus Corp. and Discover Hartville showcased expertise in enhancing local business visibility. Additionally, expertise in communications was demonstrated through leadership positions with Lake Local Schools and various roles at Congress Lake Club. Karen holds a bachelor's cum laude degree in Public Relations from Kent State University, earned between 1980 and 1984.
