Matthew Parkhurst currently serves as a Corporal and K-9 Handler at the Summerville Police Department since November 2018, following a career in law enforcement that includes positions at various police departments and emergency services. Prior experience includes serving as a Police Officer at the Veazie Police Department and Milo Police Department, and a Police Officer with the Maine State Police after attending the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. Matthew also has extensive experience in emergency response, having worked as a Dispatcher at the Penobscot County Regional Communications Center and as a Member of the Board of Directors at G&H Ambulance. Additionally, Matthew co-owns and operates Cutting Edge Lawncare, providing lawncare and snow removal services since May 2008. Educationally, Matthew is pursuing an Associate's degree in Information Technology from Eastern Gateway Community College and has completed coursework in Criminal Justice/Police Science at Husson University.
