Nathaniel W. Polky

Vice President Information Technology at Sugar Mountain

Nathaniel W. Polky has a strong background in information technology and management roles. Nathaniel W. began their career with McLendon Hardware in 2005, initially working as a Business Analyst/EDI Coordinator. In this role, they reviewed and analyzed business processes, implemented solutions to optimize systems, and developed reporting tools for enhanced information visibility. From 2007 to 2012, they held the position of Purchasing Support Team Manager at McLendon Hardware, where they managed teams responsible for merchandise replenishment, special orders, and purchasing support across all retail and distribution locations. Nathaniel W. successfully launched centralized replenishment and special order teams, managed direct reports, and oversaw a wide range of inventory. In 2012, Polky was promoted to IT Manager at McLendon Hardware, a position they held until 2015 when they were further promoted to Director of Information Technology. During their time as IT Manager and Director, they oversaw IT operations, system projects, and ensured efficient technology use. Since 2017, they have been working as the Vice President of Information Technology at Sugar Mountain, where they are responsible for P&L, CAPEX, solution delivery, and the overall IT strategy. Nathaniel W. successfully transformed the IT department into a business services partner, capable of driving results and supporting divisions in aligning people, processes, and technology. Nathaniel W. manages a team working on system and hardware projects, as well as new location openings.

Nathaniel W. Polky completed their undergraduate education at the University of Washington. From 2001 to 2005, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with a concentration in Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Track. In 2007, Nathaniel enrolled in a post-graduate extension program at the University of Washington to further their studies in International Studies, specifically focusing on Global Supply Chain Management.

In addition to their degree programs, Nathaniel obtained various certifications. In 2008, they received a Certificate of Completion in Management Skills for New Managers from the American Management Association. Furthermore, Nathaniel completed the course "Successfully Managing People" from the same institution in 2009. Nathaniel W. later acquired a Certificate of Completion in Information Technology Project Management from the American Management Association in 2012. Additionally, they obtained the certification "Information Technology Project Management" in the same year.
