Tyrand Fuller, P.G. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of hydrogeology and water resource management. Tyrand started their career as a Lab and Field Assistant at Hofstra Geology Department from 1996 to 2000. In 2000, they joined Suffolk County Water Authority as an Assistant Hydrogeologist and was responsible for overseeing the construction and design of large diameter public supply wells. Tyrand also gained recognition as a national expert in road salt contamination in public supply wells during their time in this role.
From 2009 to 2010, Tyrand served as a Hydrogeologist at Suffolk County Water Authority, where their responsibilities included reviewing and analyzing laboratory data of test wells, presenting environmental and water resource data to regulatory authorities, and assisting in the design of remediation systems under regulatory regulations.
In 2010, Tyrand was promoted to the position of Senior Hydrogeologist at Suffolk County Water Authority, where they conducted research on alternative remediation techniques for municipal drinking wells, worked on distribution system modeling, and developed continuing education courses for SCWA staff.
In 2015, Tyrand was again promoted within Suffolk County Water Authority, this time to the role of Lead Hydrogeologist. In this position, they supervised an Assistant Hydrogeologist and managed well construction projects. Tyrand was responsible for writing well construction and maintenance contracts valued at approximately $4 million per year and ensuring compliance with contract work orders and payment of invoices.
In 2016, Tyrand took on the responsibility of Director of Strategic Initiatives at Suffolk County Water Authority. Tyrand prioritized and executed the company’s 2025 strategic plan, which included various initiatives such as asset management, source water protection, water quality improvement, sustainability, and environmental education. Tyrand also served as the project manager of the mobile workforce initiative and coordinated the activities of the GIS division related to data gathering and water use.

Tyrand Fuller, P.G. holds a Masters degree in Hydrogeology from Stony Brook University, which was obtained from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Resources from Hofstra University, spanning from 1996 to 2000. Tyrand's educational journey started with their high school education at New Rochelle High School, from 1992 to 1996.
