Sheri Hecht Leonard serves as the Deputy General Counsel for Suburban Propane since 2013, providing counsel on a range of critical issues including Crisis and Risk Management, Compliance, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Employment, Safety, M&A, and Marketing, and also acts as chief legal counsel for the subsidiary company, Agway Energy Services. Previously, Sheri Hecht Leonard held various legal roles at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey from 2001 to 2013, advancing from Associate General Counsel to Assistant General Counsel, where responsibilities included advising on risk management and directing complex litigation. Early career experience includes roles at State Farm Automobile Insurance Company and Picillo Caruso, focusing on arbitration and settlement negotiations. Academic credentials include a JD from Syracuse University College of Law and a BA in Political Science and Communication from the University at Albany.
