James Presto Jr., P.E. serves as the Vice President of Strategic Operations at Substation Engineering Company since March 2019, overseeing all First Energy projects and programs. With a robust background as Project Manager and Lead Project Engineer, James ensures project quality, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction while providing technical oversight on protection and control designs. Prior experience includes roles at Black & Veatch and Sargent & Lundy, where James focused on improvements to protection schemes and led major design changes for various nuclear power plants. James commenced a career in electrical and instrumentation engineering with WorleyParsons, contributing to modifications at prominent nuclear facilities. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Widener University, completed in 2010.
