Yet Ming Chiang

Co-Founder and Chief Scientist at Sublime Systems

Yet-Ming Chiang has a diverse and accomplished work experience spanning several companies and industries. Yet-Ming began their career in 1985 as a Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Chiang went on to co-found AMSC in 1987 and A123 Systems in 2001. In 2010, they co-founded 24M Technologies, where they served as Chief Scientist and focused on developing cost-effective lithium-ion battery technology. Chiang then co-founded Desktop Metal in 2015, aiming to make metal 3D printing accessible and convenient for engineering and design teams. In 2017, they co-founded Form Energy, focusing on developing ultra-low cost, long duration energy storage systems to reshape the global electric system. Most recently, in 2020, Chiang co-founded Sublime Systems, focusing on reinventing cement production to significantly reduce CO2 emissions in the construction industry. Overall, Chiang's work experience highlights their expertise in energy storage, additive manufacturing, and sustainable technologies.

Yet-Ming Chiang obtained their S.B. and Sc.D. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1976 and 1985.
