Pilot Plant Process Engineer at Sublime Systems

Caitlyn McCloskey, EIT has a diverse work experience across various roles and industries. Caitlyn is currently working as a Pilot Plant Process Engineer at Sublime Systems since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Carbon Capture Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, where they mapped locations of coastal mine sites suitable for enhanced mineralization processes. Caitlyn also worked as an Electrochemistry Undergraduate Research Assistant at the same university, where they conducted experiments to study the effect of catalysts on electrolysis rates and determined cost-effective combinations of elements for efficient storage of electrical energy in the form of liquid fuels.

Caitlyn has also held positions at The Engine as a Summer Platform Intern in 2021, at UCapture as a Campus Ambassador from 2019 to 2021, at Clean.Tech as a Content Manager from 2020 to 2021, at the University of Pennsylvania as a Mechanical Engineering Lab Assistant in 2019, at Penguin Bookshop LLC as an Associate from 2016 to 2018, at USDA as a Creek Analyst Summer Intern in 2017, and at Fern Hollow Nature Center as an Environmental Intern from 2014 to 2016.

Caitlyn McCloskey, EIT, completed their primary and secondary education at Quaker Valley High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma from 2014 to 2018. Caitlyn then pursued higher education at the University of Pennsylvania, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from 2018 to 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Caitlyn McCloskey has also obtained two additional certifications. In January 2021, they obtained the LEED Green Associate certification from the GREEN BUILDING CERTIFICATION INSTITUTE. Later, in December 2022, they successfully completed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) CHEMICAL exam offered by NCEES.
