Selena Jackson began their work experience in 2017 as a Work Experience participant at Motherwell Football Club. In 2018, they worked as a Freelance Broadcast Journalist at Kingdom FM from March to October, and then moved on to work at Bauer Media Group - UK. At Bauer Media, they held multiple roles including Bulletin Editor from April 2019 to November 2022, Newsdesk Editor from November 2021 to November 2022, and Freelance Broadcast Journalist from May 2018 to April 2019. Currently, in 2022, Selena is working as a Multimedia Journalist at STV Group plc.

Selena Jackson completed their education with a Master of Arts in Multimedia Journalism from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Law from the University of Glasgow in 2017. Selena also pursued a Master's Degree in Law at the University of Bergen (UiB) from 2015 to 2016.
