Allan Nisbet's work experience includes various roles in software engineering and development. Allan is currently employed as a Software Engineer at STV Group plc since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Mid Level Developer at Boiler Central from April 2022 to November 2022. Allan also served as a Senior Software Engineer at SalesAgility from September 2021 to April 2022. Before transitioning to software engineering, Allan worked as a Web Developer at Stewart Travel Group from July 2017 to September 2021. Allan also held the position of Vice Chairman of the Glasgow Branch at The Federation of Small Business from December 2010 to July 2018. Furthermore, they had their own company, Storm IT Solutions Limited, where they served as the Managing Director from August 2003 to April 2018, specializing in web design, e-commerce, hosting services, and custom software development. Additionally, they worked as a Software Developer & IT Manager at Monarch Garage/JLR Direct Ltd from November 2015 to June 2017. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing IT systems, managing databases, and creating tools for data conversion. Allan's earlier experience includes being the Head of Sales & Tech Manager at iCombatUK from 2014 to 2015, where they oversaw UK operations, global sales, and project management. Allan also worked as the Operations & Sales Manager at T&G Leisure Ltd from December 2012 to 2014, where they were involved in project management and day-to-day operations. In earlier years, they worked at Network Rail as a Trainee Signal Design Engineer and later as part of the STAMP team, focusing on signal design and IT solutions for cost savings and efficiency. During their time at Network Rail, they also developed software projects and automation tools.

Allan Nisbet attended Abertay University from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Biotechnology. Allan later pursued further education at Abertay University from 2001 to 2002 and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology.
