Patrick Takenaka is a PhD student at Stuttgart Media University since November 2019, focusing on enhancing the interpretability and trustworthiness of data-driven deep learning models. Prior to this, Patrick contributed as a research assistant at Lawo and served as a machine learning engineer at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, participating in deep learning research while also studying the Japanese language. Earlier experiences include research assistance at Fraunhofer IPA in industrial robotics image processing and a working student position at Robert Bosch GmbH conducting requirements analysis in the automotive-electronics sector. Patrick holds a Master of Engineering in Information and Communications Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Medieninformatik from Stuttgart Media University.
