Danika Goecke has worked in the tech industry since 2013. Danika began their career at Walmart as a Programmer Analyst, where they developed mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms for store handheld devices. Danika was also an active member of the Store Systems Fun Committee. In their next role as Senior Programmer Analyst, they developed a mobile app to digitize the process of updating statuses and submitting product change requests to suppliers. Danika then moved into a Senior Software Engineer role, where they architected a platform that allows mobile and web apps to toggle on or off features in real time, as well as a global authorization platform that decouples authorization and authentication. Following this, they became a Principal Software Engineer, leading a DevOps transformation for the Guide product and other teams at Walmart on their own DevOps transformation journeys. In 2021, Danika joined Stuf as the Director of Engineering, where they are responsible for architecting and developing software, assessing IOT and 3rd party systems for integrations, defining engineering OKRs, managing a Kanban board, removing roadblocks for the technical team, and growing and mentoring the technical team direct reports.
Danika Goecke received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Psychology from Arkansas Tech University from 2009 to 2013. Afterward, they obtained their EDT Green Belt Certification from Engineering the Digital Transformation in August 2021, BVSSH (Business Agility) Fundamentals from Sooner Safer Happier (BVSSH) in March 2021, and EDT White Belt Certification: Leader from Engineering the Digital Transformation in October 2020.
