Nathan Suurmeyer has been a geologist since 2006, when they began working as an Exploration Geologist for Shell. In 2021, they took on the role of Lead Embed Geologist at Studio X.

Nathan Suurmeyer obtained a Master of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas between 2004 and 2007.
