Cliff Vars has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Cliff started their career as a Software Consultant at American Management Systems, where they developed procurement software for commercial customers. After that, they worked at Venetica Corporation, initially as a Software Engineer and later as a Technical Sales and Product Manager. During their time at Venetica Corporation, they gathered requirements, built consensus, and designed high-level architectures for integrating products. Following this, Cliff joined Lombardi Software, where they held multiple roles including Product Manager for BPM (on premise) and Sr Product Manager for Cloud BPM. Cliff led product management teams, worked closely with executives, and nurtured customer relationships. Cliff then moved on to HomeAway is now Vrbo, where they first served as the Director of Product Management for HomeAway Software and later became the General Manager for HomeAway Software. In these positions, they owned P&L for the business, developed strategies, and executed portfolio rationalization and consolidation. Cliff also partnered with marketplace platform teams and secured investments for the division. Prior to their current role, Cliff served as the Sr Director of Multifamily Product & Strategy at Expedia Group. In this role, they integrated two acquisitions, focused on key metrics, built a business model based on unit economics, and determined plans for aggressive growth targets. Currently, Cliff is the Head of Product at Studio X, where they manage the overall product strategy.

Cliff Vars attended Vanderbilt University from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
