Thomas McKinney has a diverse work experience in the design field. Thomas started their career as a Graphic Design Intern at The Design Center in 2010 and then worked as a Graphic Designer at The University Theatre from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, Thomas began freelancing as a Graphic Designer and continued to do so until 2012. Thomas then joined Redscout, an innovation agency, as a Graphic Designer from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, Thomas started freelancing again and maintained this role until 2017. Thomas then joined One America Financial Partners as a Designer from 2016 to 2018. Currently, Thomas is working at Studio Science, where they started as a Senior Designer in 2018 and later became the Brand Design Lead in 2020.

Thomas McKinney attended Western Michigan University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a focus on Graphic Design. In February 2023, they obtained a certification in Salesforce Certified Strategy Design from Trailhead by Salesforce.
