Lead Product Designer at Studio Designer

Lucas Roe has a long and varied work experience in the design field. In 2007, they began as a Freelance Designer for Self Employed, doing front end web development and technical consulting for 12 clients, focusing on Wordpress, point of purchase banners and posters, and hand lettering chalkboards for promotions. In 2013, they became a Junior Designer/Wireframer at R2integrated, designing and developing over 20 wireframes and prototypes in Axure, researching and implementing best practices and user trends, and developing a holistic prototype styleguide and framework in Axure. In 2014, they began as a User Experience Designer at no|inc, doing product UX lifecycle work, front end development on existing products, merging style bases, refreshing styles, and production work for new products. In 2015, they became a Lead User Experience Designer at ACGI Software, doing a broad, holistic UX practice focused on standards, style guide, IA, and UX education, and structuring and running a user testing program with over 20 users to test a major product redesign. Lucas also taught seminars on UX principles for employees and customers. In 2016, they became a UX Designer at Fastspot, creating IA, journey maps, and strategic recommendations for 2 dozen clients, writing and presenting on UX related topics, including Collaborative IA and Journey Maps, and developing internal processes for functional requirements, IA, and other agency deliverables. Lucas also became a Co Organizer at the Baltimore UX Meetup. In 2018, they became an AVP, Design Team Lead and AVP, Sr. UX Designer at T. Rowe Price. In 2021, they became a Lead Product Designer at Vertex Inc. and in 2022 they became a Lead Product Designer at Studio Designer.

Lucas Roe attended Towson University from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. Prior to that, they attended Anne Arundel Community College from 2007 to 2010, studying General Studies. In addition, they obtained a Human-Computer Interaction certification from Coursera in August 2014.
