Yingli Ma

Chief Technology Officer at Structure Therapeutics

Yingli Ma has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. They started their career at Rockefeller University as a Postdoctoral Associate from August 2005 to March 2009.

In 2009, Yingli joined GSK R&D Shanghai as a Senior Scientist and later became the Structural Biology and Biophysics group leader. They were responsible for X-ray crystallography and biophysical characterization of different protein targets, as well as strategy formulation, external collaboration, and outsourcing project management. They held this position until May 2014.

From June 2014 to July 2018, Yingli worked at Amgen, where they established and led a structural biology team focusing on GPCR targets. They worked with a matrix team comprising biologists, chemists, and academic collaborators, and gained expertise in cloning, expression, purification, crystallization screening, and structure determination. They then became the Director of Discovery Research, responsible for leading research platforms, and finally served as the Executive Director of Research, overseeing Amgen Structural Biology and Amgen Research Shanghai platforms.

Currently, Yingli Ma works at Structure Therapeutics as the Chief Technology Officer, a position they have held since August 2022. Before this role, they served as the President & General Manager of Basecamp Shanghai, starting in May 2021.
