Crystal Anglen has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Crystal is currently serving as the Executive Director of Medical Affairs and Advocacy Engagement at Structure Therapeutics since June 2023. Prior to this, they were a Principal at True North Solutions, LLC, specializing in Strategy Development, Medical Education, Scientific Communications, Publication Planning, Elevating the Patient Voice, Thought Leader Engagement, Scientific Messaging, and Competitive Intelligence. From 2018 to 2022, Crystal held positions at Ascendis Pharma, first as a Senior Director and later as a Director of Medical Communications and Education. Crystal has also worked as the Director of Medical Affairs- Advocacy at Prothena Corporation plc, where they implemented a Global Patient Engagement Plan and integrated the patient voice into corporate decision-making. Crystal has served in various roles at Gilead Sciences as a Senior Manager in Medical Affairs from 2008 to 2014, contributing to research strategies, phase IV trial design, publication strategies, and conference engagement. Crystal has also gained experience as a Clinical Affairs Specialist at PDL BioPharma, a Research Scientist at Neurome, Inc, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Scripps Research Institute. With a patient-centric approach, Crystal has championed the patient voice, collaborated with key stakeholders, and reinvented clinical research models to improve product and health outcomes for individuals affected by rare diseases.
Crystal Anglen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a focus on Neuroscience from the University of Colorado Boulder. Crystal then pursued a PhD at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, specializing in Neuroscience and Immunology.
