Doug Silsbee is a distinguished thought leader, author, and coach specializing in presence-based coaching, leadership development, and resilience. With extensive experience as a faculty member at Georgetown University Institute for Transformational Leadership and George Mason University, Silsbee contributes to the field of coaching through roles at the Hudson Institute, The Coaches Training Institute, and the Strozzi Institute. Active at the Federal Executive Institute since 1986, Silsbee has engaged with leaders globally, presenting and sharing insights across various platforms. An alumnus of Amherst College, Silsbee holds a BA in Geology and is also certified as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, enriching the coaching community through participation in multiple organizations.
