Ingrid Poloponsky has a diverse work experience in the engineering industry. Ingrid started their career as an Internship Student at Airmarine Engenharia in 2007. Ingrid then worked as a Technology Trainee and later as a Materials Research Engineer at Wellstream from 2008 to 2011. At Wellstream, they were involved in testing and qualification of materials, as well as flexible pipe materials selection for various projects.
In 2011, Ingrid joined GE Oil & Gas as a Materials Research Engineer. During their time there, they worked on a wide range of responsibilities including materials qualification, corrosion evaluation, welding procedures, and providing support for manufacturing non-conformances. Ingrid was also part of the team that was responsible for flexible pipe materials selection for Pre-Salt projects.
From 2015 to 2017, Ingrid served as a Senior Materials Research Engineer at GE Oil & Gas, where they continued their work in materials qualification and selection. Ingrid also took on the role of a Technical leader for SCC-CO2 failure mechanism investigation, coordinating tests activities and design strategies.
In 2017, Ingrid joined Baker Hughes as a Senior Engineer - Mechanical Component. Ingrid'sresponsibilities included metallic materials flexible pipe selection, technical proposal and qualification plan elaboration, and working on developments related to Pre-Salt projects. Ingrid also served as a technical leader for SCC-CO2 failure mechanism investigation, materials selection, corrosion tests, and fracture mechanics evaluation.
Most recently, Ingrid has joined Strohm as a Project Engineer in 2022. Further information about their role and responsibilities in this position is not provided.
Ingrid Poloponsky completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica Celso Suckow da Fonseca, from 2005 to 2010. Ingrid then pursued their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Metallurgical Engineering at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, from 2010 to 2013.
