Sharon Pickford has extensive experience in the field of work-based learning and apprenticeship assessment, currently serving as the Work Based Learning Manager at Strode College since April 2004. In this role, Sharon assesses a diverse caseload of apprentices across various frameworks and conducts Internal Quality Assurance for multiple subject areas, including Business, Customer Service, and Management. Additional responsibilities include marketing the apprenticeship program and ensuring compliance with audit requirements. Sharon has also developed a range of courses tailored to employer needs and served as the Somerset Skills Alliance Coordinator, liaising with local training providers to facilitate training for businesses. Prior to Strode College, Sharon worked as a Training Officer at Touchstone Learning and Skills, where duties included assessing and supporting apprentices, and held various positions at Tesco Stores Ltd. Education includes multiple qualifications in Education, Leadership, Internal Quality Assurance, and Business Administration from Strode College and other institutions.
