Brian McDonnell has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Brian is currently working at Stripe as a Platform Sales Lead since October 2023. Prior to this, they held a role as SVP, Open Banking Sales at Mastercard from July 2023 to October 2023. Before that, they worked at Adyen as SVP, Partnerships from July 2022 to March 2023.

Brian'slongest tenure was at PayPal, where they held several leadership roles. Brian served as the VP, Global Head of Marketplaces from August 2021 to May 2022. Additionally, they held the position of VP, Head of New Partner Sales, where they focused on new business development and product scaling. Brian also worked as the Senior Director of New Partner Sales from February 2019 to April 2021 and as the Director of New Partner Sales and Business Development from June 2018 to February 2019.

Before PayPal, Brian worked at Optus as an Enterprise Sales Manager from December 2011 to February 2013. Brian also had a role as a Channel Management Consultant at Activision from April 2011 to December 2011. At Sony, they served as the Group Sales Manager for ANZ from September 2010 to April 2011.

Prior to these roles, Brian worked at Nokia as the Head of Distribution and Retail for ANZ/Pacific from August 2008 to September 2010. Brian also held the position of Strategic Account Director at Nokia from March 2006 to July 2008.

Brian's career started at Vodafone Australia, where they worked as the Commercial Director for Vodafone Global Products from October 2004 to March 2006.

Brian McDonnell has a diverse education history. In 2014, they attended General Assembly and studied Digital Marketing. From 2000 to 2001, they studied various subjects including Law, Dispute Resolution, Politics, History, Computing and the Law, and Internet and the Law at UNSW. Brian completed their HSC degree in General Education at Waverley College from 1991 to 1996.
