Anant Rao is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in database management and full stack observability. Currently serving as the Engineering Leader at Stripe since July 2023, Anant leads multiple teams, including the Relational Databases team and the MongoDB Data Plane team, while also acting as the site lead for Infra teams. At Splunk, Anant leads full stack Observability and Data platform teams. Previously, Anant worked at Workday as a Senior Engineering Manager focusing on data infrastructure, performance, and scalability. Anant's tenure at LinkedIn involved leading a team of skilled engineers to optimize technology stacks and solve industry-first challenges. Anant began the career at GTECH and has held positions at Gap Inc. and Tavant Technologies. Anant holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai and the University of Bridgeport Connecticut, respectively, along with an internship focused on Neural Networks at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
