Sandeep Chavana possesses extensive experience in process development and fermentation technology, currently serving as the Head of Process Development at String Bio Pvt Ltd since June 2016, focusing on deep tech and process scale-up. Prior roles include Research Scientist at String Bio, where Sandeep specialized in upstream process development, and Fermentation Research at E I Dupont India Pvt Ltd, where expertise in biochemical sciences and engineering was cultivated. Earlier career highlights include working as a Scientist at Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd, leading projects on biofuels from lignocellulosic biomass and managing junior scientists, as well as a trainee role at Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, where Sandeep contributed to drug product manufacturing processes. Academic qualifications include an MTech in Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and a BTech in Biotechnology from Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College.
