Michael Watts has over 20 years of work experience in software engineering, development, and design. Michael began their career in 1998 as an Illustrator for Custom Print Merchandise. In 2000, they moved to Marketing and Design Matters as a Graphic Designer and Web Developer. In 2006, they started working at Pelling Marketing by Design Ltd as a Web Developer, where they developed and maintained a custom-built CMS for Philips and designed a corporate ExpressionEngine web application. In 2011, they became the Owner of Altescape Website and Application Design. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as a Senior Developer at SMSW Media Ltd, where they designed and developed a fashionista news web application for a large Saudi company and gave training and consultation to a team of Saudi content editors. Since 2019, they have been a Senior Software Engineer at Streeva.

Michael Watts' education history includes four educational experiences. From 1992 to 1994, they attended Blackpool College of Technology and Art, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Technical Illustration, Graphic Design and Art. Michael then continued their studies at the same college from 1994 to 1995, where they earned an HND in Technical illustration and Graphical Programming. In 1995 to 1996, they attended Cheltenham College of Art and Design, where they earned a Foundation degree in Design and Applied Arts. Finally, from 1996 to 1998, they attended the University of Wales, Cardiff, where they earned a Fine art degree in Painting & sculpture.
