Chief Medical Quality Officer at Stratis Health

Jane Pederson, MD, MS has an extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Jane currently serves as the Chief Medical Quality Officer at Stratis Health, a position they have held since 2015. In this role, they provide leadership and subject matter expertise for quality and safety initiatives across all care settings, and they also serve on the senior leadership team setting strategic direction.

Dr. Pederson has also held various roles at Stratis Health prior to becoming the Chief Medical Quality Officer, including Director of Medical Affairs from 1999 to 2015 and Principle Clinical Coordinator from 1996 to 1999.

Throughout their career, Dr. Pederson has held various other positions, including being a Geriatrician at Partnering in Care, HealthPartners Senior Services from 2000 to 2004, a Medical Director at EverCare (Optage) from 1996 to 2000, a Geriatrician at Interstate Medical Center from 1994 to 1996, and a Geriatrician at EverCare from 1990 to 1993.

Jane Pederson, MD, MS has an extensive education history. Jane began their academic journey at St. Olaf College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Physics from 1979 to 1983. Afterward, they attended the University of Minnesota and completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program, earning their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from 1983 to 1990.

Driven by their passion for the field, Jane pursued further education at the University of Minnesota. From 1991 to 1998, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Health Services Research and Policy. To enhance their expertise, they also completed a fellowship in Ambulatory Care within the Department of General Internal Medicine at the Veteran's Administration in Minneapolis, MN, from 1991 to 1993.

Additionally, Jane Pederson has acquired several certifications to further support their medical career. Jane has successfully obtained Board Certification in Geriatric Medicine through the ABIM Foundation. Furthermore, they possess a Medical License from the Medical Practice, Minnesota Board of.
