Matt Ellinger is an experienced educator and administrator with a strong background in teaching and educational design. Currently serving as Adjunct Faculty at Portland State University since May 2021, Matt Ellinger prepares prospective teachers in the field of science. As the Director of Media & Design at Strategic Education Research Partnership since January 2008, Matt Ellinger oversees design and product development while providing training to teachers and instructional coaches nationally. Previously, from August 2003 to January 2008, Matt Ellinger worked as an Associate at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, focusing on mathematics education research and professional development. Matt Ellinger also has extensive experience within the West Contra Costa County school district, having served as an elementary school teacher, middle school teacher, and elementary school principal from 1986 to 2003. Educational credentials include a BS in Elementary Education and Teaching from The University of Texas at Austin and an MA in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching from San Francisco State University.
