Ryan Smith is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Commissioning Technical Manager at Strata Clean Energy since August 2016. In this role, Ryan assists with the inspection of photovoltaic (PV) plants against construction specifications and tracks site testing data for handover processes. Previously, as a Quality Assurance Technician, Ryan oversaw solar farm site construction to ensure compliance with installation instructions and relevant codes. Prior experience includes working as a Design Estimator at Baker Renewable Energy, where responsibilities involved designing and estimating utility-scale solar PV installations and creating necessary layouts and drawings. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Appropriate Technology with a Minor in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University.
