Andrew Colburn is a Wastewater Engineer at Strand Associates since June 2019, specializing in wastewater management. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Kentucky from May 2013 to 2019, where research focused on ion transport during desalination and the reuse of industrial wastewater in collaboration with Chevron and Southern Company. Andrew also held the position of President of the Materials and Chemical Engineering (MACE) group at the University of Kentucky from August 2016 to July 2017, organizing events to support graduate students. Earlier internships include roles at Westlake Chemical and Calvert City Water and Sewer, providing insights into hydrocarbon processes and municipal water systems, respectively. Andrew holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Membrane Separations from the University of Kentucky, completed in 2019.
