Raf Praet is an experienced professional in project management and leadership, currently serving as a Senior Project Manager and Production Team Lead at Straker since May 2022. Raf provides daily leadership to a team of fourteen, comprising translation project managers and internal translators, focusing on serving institutional clients such as the European Commission, European Parliament, and the United Nations, while also implementing process optimizations. Prior to Straker, Raf held various roles including Project Manager at EUROLOGOS GROUP, where responsibilities included quality control and marketing, and engaged in project and change management at VOS v.z.w. Vlaamse Vredesvereniging. Raf's academic background includes a PhD in Classical and Ancient Studies from the University of Groningen, focusing on humanities, and a Master's degree in Latin and Greek Language and Literature from Ghent University, with early research contributions in digital humanities and Byzantine Studies.
