Frank Sablan is an experienced operations and quality director who has helped develop and implement supply chain processes and quality systems for leading semiconductor manufacturers. Frank is currently an instructor at the STRAC Institute, where they teach students about best practices in operations and quality management.
Frank began their career in manufacturing as a quality engineer at Silicon Genesis Corporation in 1998. Frank was quickly promoted to Director of Quality, and was responsible for developing, documenting and implementing the company's quality system compliant with ISO 9000. Under their leadership, the company successfully achieved ISO9000 certification on time and under budget.
In 2000, Frank joined netMercury as Director of Operations. Frank helped develop and implement the company's supply chain process, which included material planning, purchasing, warehousing and the company's ERP system. Frank also managed personnel in five offices in four states. In addition to their operational responsibilities, Frank was also key team member in the design and implementation of Oracle 11i. Frank was responsible for testing and qualifying the upgrade and migration to Oracle 11i.
During their 9 years at netMercury, Frank helped the company grow from a small startup to a leading supplier of parts and consumables for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. In 2009, they left netMercury to pursue their passion for teaching and joined the faculty at STRAC Institute.
Frank Sablan's educational career includes a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Masters Program in Quality Assurance from San Jose State University, and an AA in Quality Assurance from De Anza College.
