Andong Li Zhao has held various roles in different companies and organizations. In 2016, they worked as a Study Group Facilitator at Science Learning Center at the University of Michigan. They later became a Machine Learning Student Researcher, Theory Group Research Assistant, Machine Learning Research Assistant, and Instructional Aide for Introduction to Machine Learning Course at the University of Michigan College of Engineering between 2017 and 2019. They also worked as an Executive Board Member, Organizer, and Summer School Instructor at RIIAA from 2019 to 2022. They started as a Doctoral Student at Northwestern University from September 2019 and worked as a Latin@CS President and Co-Founder and Student Mentor until July 2021. They worked as a Data Science Intern at Munich Re between June and August 2022. Currently, they work as a Lead Software Engineer at Storyline from January 2023.

Andong Li Zhao pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan College of Engineering between 2015 and 2019. Andong later pursued their Master's degree in Computer Science at Northwestern University from 2019 to 2022.
